Whip up this Red Cabbage Smoothie for a refreshing, creamy, and vibrant drink that's naturally vegan, dairy-free, and made with no refined sugar.

It's an easy way to enjoy veggies in a purple smoothie that's perfect for a quick breakfast or energising snack.

Love more purple smoothies? Try my pomegranate smoothie or blueberry beetroot smoothie next.

    Red cabbage smoothie.

This red cabbage smoothie blend has become one of my favorite ways to pack both fruit and vibrant vegetables into one nourishing sip.

It's such a simple, wholesome way to boost your veggie intake, just like my beetroot spinach smoothie, carrot apple smoothie, cucumber celery smoothie, and spinach blueberry smoothie.

With purple cabbage, banana, and berries, this blend turns out thick, silky, and naturally sweet with a refreshing fruity note. It brightens my day every time I make it, and I hope it does the same for you.

    📋Substitutions & Variations

    • Cabbage swap: If you don't have red cabbage, you can use green cabbage or purple kale for a similar veggie boost.
    • Make it banana-free: Instead of banana, try frozen mango, pear, or apple for natural sweetness and creaminess.
    • Berry mix: Any berries work! Blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries can replace or mix with the ones in the recipe.
    • Add-ins: Boost nutrition by adding a tablespoon of hemp seeds, flaxseeds, or a scoop of vegan protein powder.
    • Extra creamy: For an ultra-smooth texture, blend in a spoonful of peanut or cashew butter.

    💡Marinela's Tips

    • Use frozen fruit: Frozen banana or berries will make the smoothie thicker and naturally chilled, no ice needed.
    • Prep ahead: Chop the cabbage and freeze in portions for a super quick morning smoothie.
    • Adjust sweetness: If your smoothie tastes a bit tart, add a date or a splash of pure maple or agave syrup.
