Vegan Silken Tofu Mayonnaise is a delicious oil-free recipe for making thick, creamy, homemade mayo with just a few simple ingredients and no egg.

This nut-free and high-protein plant-based dip comes together in minutes and adds a fresh, wholesome touch to your everyday meals.

If you love this one, try my avocado mayonnaise too.

    Vegan silken tofu mayonnaise (oil-free).

Vegan silken tofu mayonnaise was one of those recipes that totally surprised me because I did not expect something so simple to taste this much like regular mayo.

After trying it, I realized I do not miss the traditional version at all-this one is smooth, creamy, silky, and ready in less than 5 minutes. I also love that it is packed with protein and made without any oil, so I can enjoy it as often as I want.

I use it all the time in sandwiches, spoon it over my eggless latkes, stir it into potato salads, and enjoy it with red lentil tofu whenever I want something easy and tasty.

Even my cat became a fan of this recipe and sat next to me purring for more while I was photographing it 🙂

    🍋Ingredients

    Vegan tofu mayonnaise ingredients.
    • Silken firm tofu: I used Mori-Nu Silken Firm Tofu for the smoothest, creamiest texture. Make sure to use silken firm tofu rather than regular firm tofu for a true mayo-like consistency.
    • Apple cider vinegar: Adds the classic tangy mayo flavor.
    • Lemon juice: Makes the mayo taste fresh and bright.
    • Mustard: Adds depth and gives that classic mayo taste.
    • Garlic powder: Brings a mild savory flavor.
    • Sea salt: Enhances all the flavors.

As always, you can find the full recipe with a list of ingredients with measurements in a printable recipe card at the end of this post.

Step 2: Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed. Taste and adjust the salt, lemon juice, or vinegar to your liking.

    📋Variations

    • Blend in fresh herbs like dill, parsley, or chives.
    • Mix in black salt (kala namak) for a subtle eggy taste.

    💡Marinela's Tip

Use silken firm tofu for the smoothest, creamiest mayo. Regular firm tofu can turn grainy and won't give that silky, mayo-like texture.
