Homemade Strawberry Oat Milk is a quick DIY dairy-free drink loaded with fresh strawberry flavor (and no sugar added). Learn how to make strawberry milk that is healthy, low in calories, vegan,lactose-free, kid-friendly, and gut-friendly.The perfect non-dairy substitute made without red dye, added sugars, or artificial flavorings!
In a high-speed blender add fresh strawberries, rolled oats, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and water.
Blend on high for about 30 seconds to 1 minute or until the mixture becomes pink and creamy. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.
Strain the milk by pouring it over a nut milk bag, clean cheesecloth, or fine mesh strainer over a large bowl or pitcher. Squeeze out the remaining liquid with your hands.
Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate. It will keep in the fridge for up to 2 days. If you want to drink your strawberry milk immediately, I recommend adding ice but the flavor is best when chilled for a few hours or overnight.
Notes
Instead of rolled oats, you can use quick oats. Don't use steel-cut oats for this recipe.
You can replace maple syrup with agave nectar, date syrup, or your favorite liquid sweetened of choice. I don't recommend replacing maple syrup with granulated sugar since it will not dissolve properly in the mixture.
As mentioned above, don't over-blend the mixture. If you have a powerful blender, 30 seconds is enough to get a silky smooth and creamy, not slimy milk consistency.
Always use sweet, ripe strawberries to ensure your milk is fragrant and naturally sweetened with the need to add only a small quantity of maple syrup.
