Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree homemade or canned (NOT a pumpkin pie filling)
  • ½ cup homemade applesauce you can use canned or jarred, but I highly recommend you to make your own, it's super easy and way more delicious
  • 3 tablespoon flaxseed meal (ground flaxseed)
  • 1 banana frozen
  • 3 dates pitted
  • ¾ cup almond milk you can use any dairy-free milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pomegranate seeds and chopped walnuts for topping optional

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
    Blended smooth and creamy pumpkin puree smoothie in a glass for quick on-the-go breakfast or snack.
  • Pour your extra thick smoothie into glasses. Top it with some pomegranate seeds and chopped walnuts. You can sprinkle more cinnamon if you like and enjoy it

Notes

  • If your smoothie is very thick add more milk and blend again
  • You don't need to use frozen banana, this smoothie has a creamy texture even you use fresh banana
  • The nutrition facts don't include the toppings (pomegranate seed and walnuts)
  • It's best to consume it while fresh, store any leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 1 day
  • This pumpkin puree smoothie is not freezer friendly
