1small appleany type will work
2ripe mini kiwior 1 normal-sized kiwi
1cupraw spinachloosely packed
1teaspoonspirulina powder
1tablespoonground flaxseed (flaxseed meal)
1inchcube fresh gingerpeeled
1tablespoonlemon juicefreshly squeezed
1tablespoonpea protein powderor your favorite vegan protein powder
½cupwatercold
1tablespoonpure maple syrupoptional, use only if your smoothie isn't enough sweet to your taste
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy. This smoothie is not overly sweet. Its sweetness will depend on the ripeness of banana and kiwi and the type of apple you'll use. I recommend you to taste and add a teaspoon of maple or agave syrup to achieve the desired sweetness.
Pour your protein-rich smoothie into a big glass or jar. Top it with frozen blueberries and fragrant homemade granola (a million times better than any store-bought). Enjoy!
Notes
The sweetness of your smoothie mix will largely depend on the size and ripeness of the banana and kiwi, and the type of apple you'll use. Feel free to add a tablespoon of maple or agave syrup if your smoothie isn't sweet enough.
As a liquid, you can use any plant-based milk instead of water.
If your smoothie is very thick just add more water to make it drinkable as per your taste.
Note that the nutrition facts are calculated without the addition of maple syrup.
