Notes
Storage:
It's best to enjoy this smoothie right away. If you have any leftovers store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Optionally, you can freeze it in ice cube trays or silicone popsicle molds for up to 2 months. These are so good in summer!
For an extra thick and frosty texture use either frozen bananas or frozen watermelon. Since I used fresh watermelon I didn't need any additional liquid. If you use frozen watermelon and fresh banana the texture will be thicker and you may need to add a few splashes of milk or water, to thin it out.
If you are using only fresh fruit simply throw in a few ice cubes for a nicely thick and chilled smoothie.
Use very ripe bananas since they are the main source of sweetness alongside watermelon.
Keep in mind that this smoothie is lightly sweet so if prefer it on the sweeter side simply add in maple syrup or agave nectar.
