This simple and healthy green peas recipe is a cheap, budget-friendly, 1 pot meal recipe for lunch or dinner. This cozy and warm dish is extremely easy to make and so delicious. It's a hearty, kid-friendly lunch idea.

Instructions
First, heat ¼ cup (60 ml) vegetable oil in a large cooking pot. Add onions and carrots, sauté for 3-5 minutes on high. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft and slightly browned stirring frequently.
Then add potatoes chopped into approximately 1 cm cubes, 3 cups frozen green peas, and 1-2 dry paprika(this is optional). Pour out 4 cups of water and add the spices. Bring the liquid to a boil, lower the heat to simmer, and cook it for 50 minutes stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust the seasonings as necessary.
Serve it immediately with a slice of bread and some fresh salad and enjoy. Because this is a large batch of pea-potato stew (6 big servings) you can save some for tomorrow's meal, it'll taste even better!
